Scenario
ExtremeXOS is structurally different from Cisco. Two big shifts: 1. VLAN-centric, not interface-centric. A VLAN is a top-level object with its own name. Ports are *added to* VLANs. The VLAN owns the L3 IP if it's an SVI. There's no interface Ethernet1/0/1 mode. 2. Flat command grammar. No configure terminal REPL. Each line is a complete operation: create vlan, configure vlan <name> add ports <list>, enable ipforwarding. A bit closer to a shell than to a Cisco-style nested config. The switch sw1 is pre-loaded with three Ethernet ports (Ethernet1, Ethernet2, Ethernet3) and the always-present default VLAN Default (id 1).
